Business Intelligence Analysis<br />

Data is now the most valuable asset on the planet. We provide comprehensive management services to enable agencies to make data-driven decisions through our focus on business intelligence (BI). Our team is consistently tasked with working within databases to help agencies make data-driven decisions based on the story that their data is trying to showcase. J29 is able to excel in BI by combining innovative forms of business analytics, data mining, visualization, tools and infrastructure, and best management practices.

J29 works with open-source relational databases to configure rules engines to Public Sector data drive strategies and decisions for agencies. J29 has performed in four main types of analytics for government agencies – descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analysis. We leverage our partnerships with organizations such as Databricks, Snowflake, and Looker to aid in our data analysis missions.

High-quality analysis allows us to make accurate strategies and decisions from data sets. Clean and secure data enables J29 to create actionable scorecards, dashboards, and stories tailored to agency demands. J29 has supported the creation of data visualizations on the Maryland Total Human-Services Integrated Network (MD THINK) and on Maryland’s Child, Juvenile, and Adult Management System (CJAMS) application, providing real-time dashboards available to various authentications of user groups.

Approved and initiated in 2017, backed by CMS’ federal funding, the MD THINK program was created with the intention of improving human service delivery and outcomes across the State of Maryland by breaking down data silos on previously restricted systems. MD THINK, created with the executive sponsorship from Governor Larry Hogan, required strong collaboration from the Maryland Department of Health; Department of Human Services; Department of Juvenile Services; Department of Labor, Licensing, and Regulation (now Maryland Department of Labor); and Maryland Health Benefit Exchange.

J29 was tasked with supporting cross-agency business intelligence support through all sprint milestones, including stakeholder collaboration management.
