Millersville, MD – J29, Inc. This recognition honors leaders who move beyond discussion and actively shape the future of public sector technology through meaningful action and innovation.

The award is presented by FORUM to highlight individuals who are building practical solutions that modernize government systems and elevate the impact of federal technology programs. Kathy’s leadership exemplifies this spirit of progress. Tasked with overseeing all of J29’s active programs, and delivery of such programs under contract, Kathy’s leadership and expertise consistently advances the missions of the clients we serve and reflects the values that define J29’s approach to service, collaboration, and delivery excellence.

“J29 is entering an era where program delivery expectations are constantly being pushed to new heights of disruptive change for the better – through desires for innovation, inter-woven expertise, cost-savings, and high-quality operations. Kathy’s leadership has been instrumental in J29’s journey of disruptive change on the programs and missions that we support and she continues to raise the standard for what exceptional program leadership looks like,” said Nick Vass, President of J29.

Kathy will be recognized at the “2026 Disruptive Tech Summit and Awards Ceremony” (Summit) on March 17th in Arlington, Virginia. The Summit brings together leading voices and innovators in the federal technology ecosystem for an afternoon of demonstrations from prominent artificial intelligence companies, real world solution showcases, and a keynote address from leadership of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) – an agency that J29 is heavily committed to supporting.

“This recognition doesn’t surprise me at all. Kathy brings a rare combination of deep expertise, thoughtful leadership, and genuine heart to everything she does. From the moment she joined J29, she’s elevated how we think, how we lead, and how we deliver – not just through innovation, but through the way she cares about our people and our mission. This award is a reflection of who Kathy is every day, and we’re incredibly grateful she’s part of the J29 family,” said Tracy Mills, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Founder of J29.
