In honor of Veterans Day, J29 is thrilled to celebrate the dedication of the Tiny Home Village by the Veterans Welcome Home and Resource Center (VWHRC)in Myrtle Beach, SC. On Saturday, November 9th, just in time for Veterans Day, the Center officially opened the doors of this remarkable new housing community designed to provide safe, transitional homes for veterans in need. J29 is humbled to join as a Premiere sponsor, alongside the community of Myrtle Beach, to recognize the incredible contributions and resilience of those who served.
This new Tiny Home Village, located at 909 3rd Avenue N in Myrtle Beach, SC, represents far more than shelter. It’s a space where veterans can regain their footing and rebuild their lives with dignity, support, and community. The Village will not only house veterans but will provide access to a community kitchen, wellness resources, and the support of dedicated staff to help each resident transition to permanent housing and find meaningful employment.
For over 15 years, VWHRC has championed the cause to end veteran homelessness and to ensure every local honorably discharged veteran has access to job placement, VA claims assistance, and temporary shelter. In 2015, the Center assisted 300 veterans, a number that has grown to over 1,200 veterans in recent years. The opening of the Tiny Home Village marks an important milestone in expanding these services and directly addressing the housing crisis that so many veterans face.
J29 is honored to stand alongside VWHRC on this mission. As a Premiere sponsor at the 4th Annual Webb Cares Veterans’ Charity Golf Scramble, we had the privilege of supporting their efforts in September. Additionally, we partnered directly with VWHRC to supply a refrigerator and oven for the Tiny Home Village’s community kitchen, which will serve as a gathering and cooking space for the veterans.
J29’s CEO and Founder, Tracy Mills, was honored to represent J29 at the Grand Opening and present VWHRC with a check for $20,000 to support this vital project. “At J29, we are committed to giving back to those who have given so much,” said Tracy. “This Village represents hope and a fresh start for veterans, and it’s a privilege to support VWHRC in their mission to make a lasting difference in veterans’ lives. We believe in the power of community and are grateful to everyone who made this possible. J29 is dedicated to supporting the veterans in this Village for the foreseeable future, ensuring they have the resources and stability they need as they rebuild.”
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the incredible sponsors, generous donors, and tireless volunteers who helped make the Tiny Home Village a reality. This achievement is a testament to what can be accomplished when a community comes together to support those who served. As J29 continues our commitment to uplifting veterans, we are honored to contribute to the success of this project and to stand by VWHRC as they lead the way in veteran support and empowerment.
