At J29, we believe in the power of community, compassion, and meaningful conversations. That’s why we were proud to sponsor Jessica Hallahan’s book launch and charity fundraiser in support of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) — an evening that beautifully blended storytelling, advocacy, and heartfelt connection.
A Celebration of Courage and Impact
The event marked the release of Jessica’s latest book, a deeply personal and inspiring work that sheds light on mental health and resilience. Guests gathered to celebrate her journey and raise funds for AFSP, an organization dedicated to saving lives and bringing hope to those affected by suicide.
Representing J29: Sarah Tonelli, Director of People Operations
J29’s Director of People Operations, Sarah Tonelli, attended the event and spoke about our company’s mission and values. Sarah highlighted J29’s commitment to fostering a workplace culture rooted in empathy, growth, and mental wellness.
She also shared the incredible impact Jessica has had on the J29 team through her Lunch and Learn sessions, which have become a cornerstone of our internal wellness initiatives.
“Jessica’s sessions have helped our team open up conversations around mental health in a way that’s both empowering and supportive,” Sarah said. “Her work aligns beautifully with our values at J29, and we’re proud to stand beside her in supporting AFSP’s life-saving mission.”
Supporting a Cause That Matters
The fundraiser was more than a celebration — it was a call to action. Funds raised during the event will support AFSP’s vital work in research, education, and advocacy, helping to prevent suicide and support those who are struggling.
Looking Ahead
We’re honored to have been part of such a meaningful evening and grateful for the opportunity to support Jessica and AFSP. At J29, we remain committed to promoting mental health awareness and creating spaces where people feel seen, heard, and supported.
